Anger

What is Anger?

Anger is a very common and normal response to stressors when you feel you have been insulted or injured.  Where you get tripped up is how you manage this anger.

Letting things build up to the point where you end up exploding on those around you is an ineffective way of managing these strong emotions.  It can damage precious relationships and leave you feeling full of guilt and shame at once again hurting those around you, whether that be physical or verbal assaults.

Equally damaging is avoiding individuals or situations because you fear you might not be able to control your actions.  You might think this avoidance is a win, you didn't explode, but in reality you missed out on what could have been an enjoyable experience and time spent with family and friends.
